Pinch Pot Animals and Animal Portraits

Students reviewed how to make a pinch pot. They were then asked to create  a 4 legged animal out of their pinch pot. Why we were waiting for them to dry and get fired in the kiln we talked about traditional portraits. I then asked students to put their twist on it and create a portrait of their animal. They to think about their animal and give it a personality. Here is what they came up with. These are adorable!
